How I Go to the Gym: 5 Motivating Instagrams
Motivating Instagrams Get My Butt Moving.
I have a hard time dragging myself to the gym. I’m sure I’m not supposed to admit that, but there you go. Once I get there, I’m happy, energized, and my workouts are satisfying. However, what can I do to make the transition from my couch to the gym floor less… nonexistent?
Instagram is super-helpful for that. Here are my top five motivating instagrams that I follow to get myself going.
Dancer, yogi, beauty. She’s amazing, fun, and graceful, and her handstands are a dream. I’m awful at them, but watching her makes me realize that with some effort and confidence, I’ll be able to soar, too.
Rad girls being rad, doing rad things. This requires strength and fitness, so let’s all do more of that. Because look how happy they are, having all of their fun! Who wouldn’t want this for themselves?
Pole dancing. I hate it because making ourselves a sexual commodity undermines our ability to attach in healthy relationships, but I secretly love love it because holy crap, these women are amazing! So if you’re going to do it, do it powerfully. This woman does, and the results are staggeringly motivating.
So flexible, such balance, just gorgeous. She makes it look easy, but I’m pretty sure it isn’t.
Ice climbing is a pain in the ass: climbing gear, winter clothes, hiking stuff, sharp things on your feet, and axes to carry. It’s the kind of fun that’s the most fun once it’s done, and it’s the kind of difficult fun you want to do again right away. If she can do this every day for work, the least I can do is go to the gym, right? So I’m going to go. See you there!
